That’s it for November! As mentioned in previous posts, I participated in NaNoWriMo, a worldwide challenge to write 50 000 words in 30 days. It was my first time and I’ve got to tell you, it’s pretty brutal when you’re working fulltime and have a whole life next to writing. I took a day off on my first day and managed to get enough words in to get ahead three days. Which I needed because near the end, I fell behind several times. I still managed to make it to the goal a day before the end, so yaay for me!
And because I’m a little bit insane, I want to keep this writing streak and add another 50 000 words by the end of this year. Why? Because I’m excited for this project and also want to know how the story goes! I’ve already had a few good surprises happen, which is nice.
What project is this? It’s ‘Tear of the Sky’. I’m not sure, but I think I may have mentioned it before. I probably have. I have big plans for it. The story will be narrated in a podcast, where each episode is one chapter. That doesn’t sound too original heh? Nah, I suppose it isn’t. BUT at the end of each episode, listeners will be able to choose between two options for the next episode. That means they can choose if the character stays home or not, for instance, or they can choose which pov (point of view) they want for the next one. It should be fun! And I hope not only for me. I have set up a page for it, it merely needs to be filled in.
Because of the busy past month, the blog has been neglected a little bit. It appears that I was very set on making it to my goal! Even though I’ve got the same goal set for this month, the three posts a week will be a thing again. Every Tuesday and Thursday you can expect a short flash fiction story, and every Sunday a new chapter of Nadec will be available.
Talking about Nadec, have I mentioned it’s going to be a podcast soon? I see it as a practice run before doing the real stuff, the ‘Tear of the Sky’ podcast. Doing Nadec as a podcast will help me figure out all the basics of podcasting and prepare me. The concept of the Nadec podcast will be that it’s Nadec herself who’s the narrator. She’ll be reading her adventure out loud, and occasionally comment on certain happenings. She’s already set up a Twitter account, so go and follow her!
That is it! In summary, the three posts a week are back, NaNoWriMo 2018 has been conquered, and podcasts are on the menu.
Cheerio!
